BJ, or Beej, has been a motorcycle journalist for over two decades and a biker for far longer. His first road bike was a mighty Yamaha DT50, although he was already competing on 250cc machinery by that point.
Many years and many bikes later, he scored a position at Two Wheels Only Magazine circa 2002, before joining Fast Bikes Magazine in late 2004, where he remained until late 2018, making him the longest-serving member of the Fast Bikes alumni.
2018 saw a move to the Freelance Arms and just a few years later, reuniting with Gemma, whom he’d met in the WSB paddock around 2005 and kicking off this new adventure!

Gemma, meanwhile, may be relatively new to riding, but she’s not new to bikes. Aside from screaming a nippy Scoot’ about the south coast like a loon, she also worked in the WSB paddock for a few years, where she first met Beej, before eventually moving on to pastures new.
Fast forward well over a decade later, and she rediscovered a love for bikes and all things biking about the same time she and Beej reconnected.
In the nearly four years since, she’s tested around 100 different motorcycles and rolled almost a quarter of a million miles in her burgeoning bike journo’ journey!
